    BRAND NAME BOUTIQUE| London Fashion Week Opens

    LONDON FASHION WEEK

    Officially opened by Sarah Brown, London Fashion Week has opened it's doors at Somerset House for the Autumn Winter season of 2010-2011.


    A minute's silence was called for in memory of the late designer Alexander McQueen who apparently commited suicide on February 11th. The Chairman of the British Fashion Council, Harold Tillman, said '.... his impact was extraordinary and he will be sorely missed'.


    More than 40 designers are planned to showcase their latest fashions on the catwalk this year.

    London Fashion Week is held in February and September, and is reported to inject £30 million into the London economy. It boasts worldwide media coverage and fashion designers from all countries unveil their latest creations at the venue. Orders worth £100milliion are placed at every London Fashion Week event and it is one of the most important occasions in the fashion calendar.
